Due to the high density of tungsten alloy, it is widely used in various industrial fields, including machinery, aerospace, petroleum industry, nuclear industry and other fields. For example, mechanical hammer, fly hammer, oil drilling platform counterweight, anti-shock tool holder; In the aerospace sector, counterweights are used in aircraft control surfaces, propellers, navigation stations, flywheels, engines and engine crankshafts.
We have many applications in tungsten alloy materials (sheet, bar, cylinder, square, etc.) and processing into end products.
High specific gravity tungsten alloy material is a kind of tungsten matrix (W content 85-99%), and add Ni, Cu, Co, Mo, Cr and other elements of the alloy. According to alloy composition characteristics and uses are divided into W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu, W-Co, W-WC-Cu, W-Ag and other main series, its density is adjustable between 16.5-19.0 g/cm3. General large, shaped parts are produced by isostatic pressing technology, the use of molding, extrusion and injection molding technology to produce small products, the use of forging, rolling production and processing of bars and sheets.

Advantages:

  • Specific weight: the general proportion is 16.5-18.75g/cm3;
  • High strength: tensile strength of 700-1000Mpa;
  • Strong ability to absorb rays: its ability is 30-40% higher than lead, and no harm to the environment and health;
  • Large thermal conductivity: 5 times that of die steel;
  • Small coefficient of thermal expansion: only 1/2-1/3 of iron or steel, good conductivity;
  • It has good weldability and is easy to cut.
 
Purpose:
It is mainly used for aerospace gyroscope rotor, counterweight, shock absorber, armor piercing core of conventional weapons, radiation shielding devices and components, die-casting mold for mechanical manufacturing, flywheel and automatic watch pendulum, contacts and electrodes and other counterweight parts.

MIM process features:
