Ammonium perrhenate is widely used in precious metal catalysts in petrochemical industry to produce pt-rhenium bimetal reforming catalysts. Ammonium perrhenate is an important raw material for the production of rhenium metal powder, and is also used as an element additive in many rhenium alloys.
